Texas Vineyard and Lavender Fields Wedding: Alex + Mandy

Being a Texas native, I thought it would be fun to feature a wedding from my neck of the woods. Before I moved to the Philippines I called San Antonio home and this beautiful wedding was shot right around the corner in a little Texas town called Fredericksburg. The small community is big on hospitality, authentic German food, and tucked away bed & breakfasts. Alex and Mandy took advantage of Fredericksburg's hill country landscape and held their wedding at Becker Vineyards. Oak trees, lavender fields, and of course the gorgeous couple is only a slice of the beauty of this wedding photographed by Bend the Light Photography.

From the photographer: Alex & Mandy love photos… like, almost as much as we do. Mandy wanted lots of bride/groom portraits and bridal party images, and she didn’t want to be rushed for time… the solution? Alex & Mandy saw each other before the ceremony. We love first looks! It’s such a sweet, intimate moment between the bride and groom where they can have a few minutes of alone time and calm their nerves. The photos below are a few shots from the moment Alex & Mandy first saw each other.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds headed to the lavender fields for sunset photos. I can almost smell the soothing scent!

The reception was held in the Barrel Chai room at Becker Vineyards. Notice the barrels of wine, limestone fireplace, and banquet table made from Texas mesquite. So elegant! And wait until you see the photos at the end: light-strung trees and dancing under the moon. *sigh* Can't get more romantic than that.
