Pretty in Peony Wedding Inspiration

There's something so alluring about peonies. Maybe it's their pretty shades of pink or the way their petals enfold inside of one another. Maybe it's that whenever you look at them, whether a single stem or a gathered bouquet, they make you smile. Whatever their allure, brides-to-be adore them. In fact, I think they're the new rose. They are for me, at least. I can't get enough of this big, blooming flower. How about you?

Here are some ways you can add peonies to your wedding and pre-wedding parties.

Add a bit of glitz to the bridal shower invite with sparkling gold and bold pink peonies.

Hint hint to your honey that you'd like breakfast in bed...with a side of peonies. ;)

Buy a set of watercolors and have your bridesmaids paint simple peonies. The works of art can then be displayed at your reception. They could even be used as place cards.

And don't worry if you or your bridesmaids aren't pro painters. Mickenzie Smith has an easy tutorial on how to paint watercolor peonies.

Could you imagine wearing shoes like these down the aisle? I think they'd look amazing with a short wedding dress. Perhaps something with long sleeves and a full skirt...
