I have a very special wedding to share with you today. All weddings are special, yes, but this one is extra special because it's my friends'. I met Michaela and George last year when they visited Puerto Galera, Philippines (where I live). Michaela is from Canada and met George while she was working in London. I remember George telling me the story of how they met, how he saw her across the room and was instantly smitten. Real romantic stuff. And you should see these two together - like peas in a pod or peanut butter and chocolate. So utterly in love and perfect for each other.
The wedding was held in the family's backyard in Calgary and was full of DIY elements and bohemian details: glitter-dipped feathers, vintage lace, paper lanterns, and hanging greenery that was spray painted gold. Most of the decor was bought at the Dollar Store or borrowed from friends and family. The bridal bouquet was a mix of antique roses, baby's breath, eucalyptus, and freesia.
And that wedding dress and fur jacket! A little bit vintage, a little bit boho, and a whole lot of glam!
